IAS 19- in collaboration with our clients

PRI Pensionsgaranti estimates the value of all pension plans covered by IAS 19. We can classify and evaluate the plans in your company that concern the regulatory framework for IAS 19.

Our IAS 19 service is developed together with our clients. This means that the accounting works perfectly, regardless of size of the group or company.

Which companies are covered by IAS 19?

Recommendations include listed companies and companies that by their size are of great public interest. A number of Swedish companies are indirectly covered by IAS 19 through foreign owners that apply the regulatory framework for IAS.

We make regulation of IAS 19 accessible

IAS 19 requires information about the pension plan and the change of liability. The assumptions used for evaluation should be transparent. PRI Pensionsgaranti works actively to make the legislation of IAS 19 more accessible and to facilitate the reporting of your business.

Valuation according to IAS 19 compared to Swedish liability valuation

The current value of a defined benefit pension obligation should, according to IAS 19, be valued in agreement with the PUC method (Projected Unit Credit Method). In contrast to the Swedish liability valuation, PUC takes into account future earned pension rights. Based on specific company assumption, future cash flows are calculated.

IASB issues regulatory framework for IAS 19

The framework for IAS 19 is issued by the independent organisation IASB (International Accounting Standards Board). IASB’s mission is to promote international harmonisation of accounting policies that are used in various nations worldwide.

IAS 19 is a standard that is constantly developing. We help our customers to stay updated on how it is developing and what is required to meet the conditions for the financial reporting.
